Metal sculpture is as flexible as any other medium when it comes to the infinite possibilities an artist can create. The crudeness, edges, metallic colors, and the original source of the materials each carry their own dialogue and meaning viewers can appreciate and interpret. Even though fabricated metal sculpture is typically not what comes to people’s minds when they think of fantasy art, artist Zac Shavrick uses metal scraps to create a slew of demons, monsters, and chaotic humans. The fact that he has literally used his entire life devoted to creating these sculptures adds to the mastery of his craft.
